Note use of opalescent glass.

Tiffany achieved great scenic depth in this composition. In order to give this feeling, he keeps all detail in the foreground and minimizes that in the background.

The jewels in the string of beads on David's crown are actually chunks of glass which were put in place while the base mass was cooling. The strings on his harp are rods of metal attached to the framework of the window itself.
