Midway Gardens plate. Midway Gardens was a vast entertainment complex incorporating indoor and outdoor restaurants, beer garden, outdoor concert hall and dance areas. It was a complete work of art, an ornamental tour-de-force. Midway Gardens Postcards Viennese design from around 1900 was a strong influence on Wright's work as can be seen in the decoration of this plate.
