River Lawn Originally, home of U. S. Senator Spaulding, a wealthy friend of Allen's, located in Beaver Island Park area at approximately the place where the current sledding hill is. Sen. Spaulding purchased the property from Lewis F. Allen. The label "F. Sidway" refers to Spaulding's son-in-law, Franklin Sidway, who married Charlotte Spaulding.
