SS Corona, a ship that carried passengers from downtown Buffalo to Woodlawn Beach. In 1898, while docked at Edgewater, fire broke out and spread to another steamboat docked in the same area. Both vessels burned to the waterline and sank, The stack of the Corona can still be seen today off the shore at East River Rd. and Edgewater.
