The elevator corridor on the
south side of the lobby serves the first thirteen floors, while the one on the north
side serves the floors above the thirteenth.
There are twelve elevators, all with bronze doors. The bronze doors are composed
of four vertical panels, each with a center figural design. The panels combine to
form running zigzag borders of abstract vegetation at the top and bottom of the door.
Between the door and a heavy green marble trim, there is a bronze surround with the
motif of an expanded coil spring,. resulting in a complex zigzag pattern. Above the
door, the green marble is carved in the form of an eagle.
