Architect's drawing.
In front of the house are two mature deciduous trees. It is likely that Harold Olmsted, who was also a landscape architect, designed the landscape.

Facade (north elevation):

  • It has a steeply pitched cross-gabled roof clad in polychromed slate with beveled edges.
  • The gable ends feature simple wood rake moldings
  • Three large polygonal brick chimneys project above the roof.
  • Between the gables is a flat-roofed angled stair tower. This two-story tower features groups of three windows at both the first and second floor and a wood paneled parapet at the roof.

Center entrance porch
  • The one-bay-wide flat-roofed center entrance porch is distinguished by the delicate filigree ironwork balustrade, supports, and frieze. The porch roof is crowned by a cast iron balustrade with a Gothic-inspired pointed arch design.
  • The front entrance has narrow multi-light sidelights and a transom.

Most of the window openings have stone sills and wood label moldings. Many of the double-hung wood sash have a wide center muntin, so as to resemble paired casements from a distance. The fact that these windows could be opened all the way by sliding the sash into a wall pocketallowed for ample ventilation in the summer months

A secondary entrance, located on the west elevation, has a flared copper hood and ornamental iron supports

An asphalt driveway on the west side of the property provides access to an attached garage at the rear of the house.

Side (west) entrance. Copper roof and wrought iron ornamentation
