The concrete covered Hamburg Drain which extended into the Slip was cut off. The drain water (with pumped air filtration), however, still flows into the Slip. The building to the immediate left (west) of the Commercial Slip is the planned Buffalo and Erie County Naval Museum. The buildings to its left is the planned Naval Superyard. The planned Naval Park surrounds the Superyard. Note the USS The Sullivans and USS Little Rock models in the Buffalo River.
