The Ford Motor Company opened a factory at 2495 Main Street by the Belt Line Railroad crossing, and began to crank out Model T automobiles. ("FORD" is still visible on the chimney at the factory building, which later became a Trico plant, and is now called Tri-Main. Note the bridge to the right (north) of the building. Erected 1913
