A.R. Castricone, who died in FL on 1 September (Buffalo NEWS, 14 September 2006, p. B5), operated Castricone Concrete & Construction, founded by his grandfather in 1917, for many years.

His company laid many miles of sidewalk, probably comparable to Crescent Pavement, whose sidewalks were laid in the first 2 decades of 20th Century.

Castricone sidewalk stamps, though not as durable as bronze markers, are still widespread.
