Gary N. Costello, President, Hull House Foundation, reflected initially on "History" as a context for understanding the value of the Hull House restoration effort in Lancaster. The Hull House, circa 1810, is believed to be one of the oldest buildings in Western New York. Costello has provided the leadership to make the project become possible by organizing and energizing a wonderful group of volunteers as well as raising the necessary funds from the community.

The Center for the Study of Art, Architecture, History & Nature (C-SAAHN ) sponsors the Noon-Hour Lecture/Discussion series on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Buffalo & Erie County Downtown Central Library. The theme for the 2010 - 2011 Series on the 4th Tuesday is "Why are Buffalo Niagara's Art, Architecture, History and/or Nature Important?"
