A garden structure with an open wooden-framed roof, often latticed, supported by regularly spaced posts or columns.
Usually has a flat roof. Stretches over a long distance.
The structure, often covered by climbing plants such as vines or roses, shades a walk or passageway.
Arbor: A light open structure of trees or shrubs closely planted, either twined together and self-supporting or supported on a light latticework frame. Usually has an arched roof. Stretches over a short distance.
