The Statler's Little Sisters:
The Art Nouveau
Ansonia and Calumet Buildings were
built simultaneously with the Hotel Statler.
Both feature glazed polychromatic terra
cotta exteriors ornamented with plant forms, which serve as a decorative
casing for the underlying steel frame structure.
