In the central Transfiguration window, Peter, James, and John accompany Jesus to a mountaintop where they see the transfigured Christ converse with Moses and Elijah. This window was given in memory of The Reverend Dr. Edward Ingersoll, Trinity's well-loved rector from 1844 to 1874. The congregation paid for this window by subscription.
