Mural on the north wall, painted by William C. Francis, in 1925, depicts the myth of Aphrodite springing from the sea and finding refuge in the blessed isle of Cytherea, and contains the inscription, "Ah, Poets, leave the sordid earth awhile; it may be we shall touch the Happy Isle."
