Assumption RC Church - Table of Contents

West transept - Assumption RC Church
435 Amherst Street, Buffalo, NY 14207

In 2010, before the renovation the next two years, the transept wall was painted white.  Swiatek Studios, Inc. added background color and borders that were modeled after the Slawinski sgraffito murals in the sanctuary. The two Stations of the Cross were also painted.  For more information about the renovation, see 2010-11 Renovation History.

The east transept is virtually identical to the west, but without the Crucifix and Last Supper sculptures.

The
rose section is actually a wheel.
The studios that produced the  stained glass windows in the church, including the transept window illustrated here, are unknown due to flooding that destroyed many church records.

Borders

Devin Simpson of Swiatek Studios, Inc. paints one of the borders designed by Brett Swiatek which he modeled after the Slawinski sgraffito murals in the sanctuary.
